Abstract: The present article analyses the educational and methodological support for training military psychologists in higher education institutions of Ukraine. In particular, the article discusses the current curricula and work programmes for the discipline “Military Psychology”. The article finds that military psychology and military pedagogy are developing in the context of today's turbulent transformations caused by the war in Ukraine, which is quite understandable. A comprehensive review of the curricula and work programmes for teaching the discipline “Military Psychology” in higher education institutions of Ukraine reveals that these vary qualitatively depending on the year of their development. In peacetime, the curricula were aligned with the paradigm of peaceful existence for Ukrainian statehood, serving as a supplement to existing courses in general psychology. In wartime, the war in eastern Ukraine in the ATO has had a significant impact on the content of curricula published after 2013. The theoretical significance of the study is evident in its comprehensive comparison of programmes, highlighting the main issues of military psychology in two modules in some programmes, and emphasising the problem of military teams and leadership in others. It also explores the role of military psychology, problems of military teams and military didactics in other programmes. The authors emphasize the qualitative content of some 2023 programmes, which considered the practical experience of a high-intensity war, signifying a qualitative breakthrough in the field of military psychology and military pedagogy. The practical significance of the study is twofold: firstly, the curricula are enriched by the practical experience of military psychologists who participated in high-intensity conflict; and secondly, military psychologists now have experience with a wide range of psychogenic disorders among war veterans. It is therefore vital that military veterans receive adequate rehabilitation programmes as well as information and analytical support.
