The Humanities, Creativity, and Intellectual Disability: Theory and Practice in Action

Year: 2025
Type: book-chapter
Abstract: This piece provides a short overview of an inclusive and co-produced intellectual disability project, which included input from service users, support workers, heritage professionals and volunteers, and university staff and students. It is one of a series of intended publications that will arise out of the collaboration, but this one focuses on the contributions of two staff, one History and one English, and three final year undergraduate History students. Each co-author reflects on their motivations and rationales for being involved in the project, and their roles in contributing to Creative Health outcomes.
