Effect of Hormone Treatments on the Growth, Mineral Elements and Hormones Level in Xylem Sap in Eggplant Seedlings

Abstract: This paper reports the effect of hormone application on the growth, mineral elements and endogenous hormones level in xylem sap in eggplant seedlings.1 ) Application of 10 ppm BA to root zone promoted the leaf growth.Foliage application of 20 ppm GAs remarkably promoted the elongation of stem followed by ａ larger S/R value.Foliage application of l ppm IAA promoted ･seedling growth, especially the root growth,resulting in a smaller S / R value.2) BA treatment induced a higher concentration and flux of mineral elements except P and Fein xylem sap.Foliage application of GA3 inhibited exudation rate and reduced flux ofminerals eχceptＫ，Cu in xylem Sap｡IAA treatment increased the rate of xylem exudation with a high concentration of mineral elements.
