Dependence of lipides of the blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) on the temperature factor
Year: 1992
Type: dissertation
Abstract: The object of investigation: the blue-green algae (part Cyanophyta, klass Hormogoniophyceae: Anabaena cylindrica and spirulina platensis). For the first time, the variations of the total content of the lipides, phospholipides, digalactose, diacylglycerides, monogalactosil-diacylglycerides, the rations of the galactolipides, the dynamics and the ratio of the fatty acids in the common fat-acid composition in the process of adaptation to the changed temperature of the species of the blue-green algae differing in the optimumbiomass increment have been investigated. The specificity of the lipide composition and its reaction on the temperature conditions has been stated. The universality of the adaptation of the blue-green algae to the temperature by changing the content of the digalactosildiacylglycerides, monogalactosildiacylglycerides, phospholipides and unsaturated fatty acids has been proved, and their specificity containing in the accumulation of the short-chain fatty acids in the stress situations has been determined. The results can be used in the biotechnology at the development of the methods of optimization and control by the biosynthesis of the lipides of the blue-green algae
