Évaluation multicritère de la durabilité du Domaine du Possible pour la conception d’un système de grandes cultures innovant

Year: 2021
Type: dissertation
Abstract: The Domaine du Possible (DDP) is a structure housing a farm with diversified activities that seeks to improve its sustainability. The purpose of this work is to assess the sustainability of the DDP in order to better manage the cropping systems of the farm and improve its general sustainability. In this context, the tools IDEA 4 and MASC 2.0 (two multi-criteria assessment methods) were used to diagnose the sustainability of the domain at farm level (IDEA 4) and cropping system (MASC 2.0). With these we proposed a more sustainable cropping system. Finally, the MASC 2.0 and IDEA 4 tools were used to assess the sustainability of the new system and its possible impact on the sustainability of the farm according to two scenarios of integration of the production workshops. The sustainability of the DDP is average due to average economic development despite good agroecological and socio-territorial sustainability. The action levers proposed to improve the sustainability of the operation are : increasing the autonomy of production workshops, improving the valuation of sales products and improving the efficiency of use of productive resources. The rated cropping system has low sustainability due to low economic and social sustainability despite average ecological sustainability. The action levers proposed to improve the sustainability of the SdC are : improve pests management, improve soil fertility and improve the quality of working conditions for employees. According to scenario 1 (no integration between workshops), the new cropping system has greater ecological sustainability but lower social sustainability and almost identical economic sustainability. According to scenario 2 (great integration between the workshops), the new cropping system has greater economic and ecological sustainability but less social sustainability. These results show that the diversification and integration of production workshops are effective ways to improve the sustainability of DDP.
