Abstract: In my keynote at the H890 (Research and Scholarship in Digital Education) conference on 12th April 2025, I spoke about the impact of scholarship implying demonstrable benefits to learning and teaching that are directly attributable to a scholarship project. I discussed on why impact matters to the funders, for student outcome and experience, and for scholarly practice and career progression of educators. I outlined the key values and strategies that can help guide scholarship practice for possible impact. Finally, I described the role of Evaluative Thinking for impactful scholarship and the tools for developing evaluative thinking skills.
