Abstract: The German geologist and microscopist Ehrenberg never came to the Iberian Peninsule, but some correspondents sent him samples of algae in Spain and Portugal. He published those records in Berliner journals of natural history, which have been never reported later for Iberia. This short contribution conveys such an information to current phycological readers.
