Abstract: In this article the problem of avoiding conflicts of interest in the prosecution authorities is investigated as a key factor in ensuring objectivity, independence and efficiency of their activities. Despite the existence of general legislative mechanisms for preventing and resolving conflicts of interest, the specifics of the functioning of prosecution bodies are often overlooked by researchers, which complicates the effective implementation of the relevant provisions. The author emphasizes the insufficient elaboration of this issue in modern legal science, which is especially relevant given the increasing requirements for transparency and accountability of public authorities. In this paper, the author analyzes the legal framework regulating the issues of avoiding conflicts of interest in the activities of the prosecution authorities, in particular, the shortcomings of the current legal acts and their compliance with modern challenges are considered. It is noted that the formal nature of some provisions, the lack of clear procedures for assessing the risks of conflicts of interest, and the low level of legal culture are the main factors that impede the proper functioning of the system of conflict-of-interest resolution. In this research, the authors comprehensively substantiate the importance of raising the professional awareness of prosecutors regarding the mechanisms for avoiding conflicts of interest, which is one of the key prerequisites for ensuring the proper functioning of the law enforcement system, strengthening public trust in the prosecution authorities and preventing possible corruption risks in their activities. The authors emphasize that the conflict of interest in the activities of prosecutors may manifest itself in various forms, in particular, in cases where the personal interests of an employee conflict with his or her professional duties, which may lead to biased or prejudiced decisions, abuse of office and violation of the principle of impartiality.
