Abstract: If theories aim to abstract them, facts always take precedence, because they exude life, and not what it could and/or should be. Consequently, facts and theories reveal their own fragilities, the former because life, particularly economic life, is only an alternating succession of hazards and wills, the latter because they struggle to outline formal structures, including mathematics or not. That said, instability is constant; consubstantial with life, it invades all scientific disciplines, and consequently calls for corrective measures which do not, however, guarantee a return to stability. It is the circumstances and the acuity of the actions that decide most of the time. This means admitting that there are multiple angles of approach to this theme of reflection. History lovers and Cartesians enthusiasts, we have addressed three aspects here: the impermanence of history, contemporary uncertainties and managerial inexperience.
