Scalable Biocatalytic Oxygenation of Aliphatic Amine Derivatives Using a Class I Unspecific Peroxygenase

Abstract: artUPO is revealed as an effective biocatalyst for the regioselective oxygenation of cycloalkylamines to form cyclic amino ketones on preparative scale. Furthermore, amino alcohols can be formed via the selective C-H oxygenation of isopropyl-tethered amine derivatives. Enantiomerically enriched amino alcohols are also accessible using a kinetic resolution approach.
