Assistance actions to promote healthy aging in a Family Health Strategy, from the perspective of the elderly

Abstract: Introduction: With increasing longevity, health services, especially Primary Health Care, must be structured to increasingly absorb the demands of aging and work towards promoting it efficiently. Objective: To identify care actions to promote healthy aging in a Family Health Strategy in a municipality in the North of Minas Gerais, Brazil, from the perspective of elderly people. Method: This is a descriptive, qualitative study with data collected from August to September 2022 and analyzed using Thematic Analysis. Results: The study was carried out with 16 elderly people. The actions offered include clinical care from health professionals and collective educational actions supported by the use of technology, in conversation circles and the use of messaging applications to guide the elderly person. Conclusion: Actions must be expanded in relation to the variety of services made available to cover all the variables of the elderly person's perception of their needs, so that assistance is comprehensive.
