Le doute dans le procès pénal au Cameroun
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: This reflection consecrates the usefulness of doubt in the criminal trial and tries to answer the question of what this usefulness of doubt consists of. At the end of the analysis, two main points were highlighted and which restore the usefulness of doubt in the criminal trial: the preparatory phase of the criminal trial and its enforcement phase. But, in a somewhat synthetic approach, the objective of doubt comes down to an immaterial legal value: the settlement of a criminal dispute. In the end, each of the protagonists will have had the opportunity to express their doubts to allow the judge to settle the dispute while being protected from the uncertainties that are sources of error.
