Abstract: Interpreting a full blood count (FBC) is a fundamental aspect of clinical practice. FBC abnormalities can signify diverse underlying conditions, therefore advanced practitioners must meticulously analyse FBC results alongside patient history, clinical presentation, and examination findings. This will enable them to use clinical reasoning to formulate an accurate understanding of the patient's condition, guide further diagnostic investigations and develop management strategies. Ultimately, the accurate interpretation of an FBC serves as a cornerstone in diagnostic decision-making, empowering advanced practitioners to deliver informed and holistic patient care.
