Abstract: The novel "I am Mia" by the young author Jana Misho, so we can freely say that it has all the features of optimistic adolescent literature. The meaning of the novel is even greater because the author herself is a young person - an adolescent. Considering that this is a contemporary work written precisely by a young person, one can notice the emphasis on communication between peers and society, as opposed to family. In fact, it is also one of the characteristics of the period of adolescence, when peers and friends begin to take the place that the family used to have, the place of the most important social focus.
