Abstract: In Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, where a large percentage of the nation's medical child abuse cases have taken place, resides the nation's leading investigator of said cases, Detective Mike Weber.In 2023 he gave a presentation on "Understanding Medical Child Abuse" to the county's District Attorney's office.During the presentation, which was recorded, the Chief DA of the Criminal Division was outspoken on her qualms with the Detective's presentation.Through interviews with Detective Mike Weber and detailings of medical child abuse cases handled by the DA's office, this article breaks down the contentious history between the Detective and the DA's office.
