Abstract: The thesis describes the design and implementation of an automated IoTbased payment system tailored for accommodation services. The system leverages modern embedded technologies, specifically the ESP32 microcontroller, combined with a custom backend to enable secure, reliable, and efficient cash handling without the need for the host’s physical presence. The payment system is integrated within a modified safe, equipped with a touch display and a banknote validator, ensuring secure transactions. It communicates with a server via a REST API, providing real-time updates and management capabilities through a web-based frontend. The solution is adaptable and scalable, capable of meeting the evolving needs of the hospitality industry.
