Abstract: The knowledge of the alarm signs of the pregnant woman in the third trimester of pregnancy helps the mother to seek medical attention in a timely manner, avoiding risks and preventing maternal mortality. The objective of our research is to analyze the scientific evidence shown in different studies about this relationship. The search was done in four databases, these were Pubmed Mesh, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Medline, the evaluation methodology was performed under the guidelines of the PRISMA statement. The twenty studies included in this review revealed the importance of knowing the warning signs in pregnancy to reduce maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality. As well as the importance of health education.
