Instinctual Peace Theory

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Instinctual Peace Theory examines the primal layer of human existence, where raw impulses—such as survival, hunger, fear, and reproduction—govern behavior and decision-making. This theory explores how peace and conflict emerge at the instinctual level, arguing that harmonious integration of primal drives fosters cooperative, protective, and adaptive behaviors, whereas fragmentation leads to aggression, fear-driven responses, and cycles of violence. By analyzing the Ring of Peace, where instincts function synergistically, versus the Cycle of Violence, where one drive dominates and disrupts the whole, the theory demonstrates that peace is not the absence of instinct but its conscious orchestration. Instinctual Peace Theory provides a foundational understanding of how early biological and evolutionary imperatives shape both individual behavior and broader social dynamics, offering insights into preventing conflict and promoting resilience through self-awareness and instinctual regulation.
