Abstract: Hellwigia horneana (K. Schum.) Senjaya & A. D. Poulsen comb. nov. Alpinia horneana (K. Schum.), Pflanzenr. IV, 46: 349 1904 (Basionym). Type: Fiji. Horne s. n. (lectotype: designated here, K! [K 00928023]). Notes. Schumann (1904) cited Horne’s s. n. specimen but did not explicitly designate the type. Later, Smith (1990 a) referred to this specimen as the type but did not specify where it is deposited.
