On May 25, 2025, the first female librarian Asiya Gafurovna Kasimova will turn 95. Many of us, her students, know or do not know enough about her. In the XX century, a separate place was occupied, although not much, by scientists, library scientists and bibliograp hers in the development of science, especially library science in Uzbekistan. Especially there were Uzbek scientists who devoted their efforts, lives to the development of library science, one of them is the only woman not only in Uzbekistan, but also in Central Asia in our field - this is a doctor of historical sciences, professor Asiya Kasimova.
