Education for transformation
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Education for transformation tends to become an operational pedagogical concept, insofar as: it evokes the general function of education of permanent formation-development of the personality in view of integration into society; it is engaged in the formation-development of the pedagogical consciousness of the educated: psychological, individual and social, collective, (self-)cultivated through effective participation in the complex process of solving the problems of contemporary society. Education for transformation thus contributes to the realization of the value leap from “maintenance learning” - effective in the case of “fixed hypotheses” to “innovative learning” necessary in limit-situations requiring higher cognitive skills.
