Cosmic Ontoenergetics: Energy Supply, Structural Accumulation, and the Evolution of Consciousness in Earth's Open System
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This paper is restructured into two parts: Part I presents the The- ory of Open Cosmic Energy Supply (OCES) as a physical-quantitative framework based on Earth Energy Imbalance (EEI) data. This part explains how surplus energy accumulates in measurable structures us- ing principles of non-linear thermodynamics. Part II introduces the Theory of Cosmic Ontoenergetics (TCO) as an informed hypothesis, which argues that the accumulation of energy and information can lead to consciousness. This part is built upon the foundation of mod- ern information theories, such as Integrated Information Theory (IIT), and proposes a testable hypothesis. The goal of this restructuring is to enhance scientific rigor and to distinguish between empirical claims and conceptual speculations.
