USP Field Theory Prediction for Proxima b: Eccentricity, Resonance, and Atmospheric Implications (RQM1)

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This work presents a standalone, falsifiable prediction for the orbital and rotational state of the exoplanet Proxima b, derived within the USP (Ultra-Sub Particle) Field Theory framework. Using observational anchors (P = 11.186 days, a = 0.0485 AU, M★ = 0.12 M☉, K ≈ 1.25 m/s) and USP’s spin-tension geometry, the study forecasts a residual eccentricity of e ≈ 0.06–0.12, maintained by companion forcing from Proxima d. This eccentricity range implies: A second harmonic RV signal of ~0.07–0.16 m/s, testable with NIRPS/ESPRESSO. A likely 3:2 spin–orbit resonance if e ≳ 0.05, otherwise synchronous rotation. Stabilization of thin atmospheric resonances (CO₂, H₂O) by USP damping, offering testable predictions for JWST/ELT spectroscopy. The document integrates both mainstream astrophysical context (stellar evolution, engulfment events) and USP Field Theory perspective (field scars preventing perfect circularization), providing a comprehensive narrative. It concludes with a falsification plan, proposing ~100 hours of RV monitoring to confirm or reject the USP-predicted eccentricity. This RQM1 version incorporates refinements: quantified eccentricity scaling, companion forcing estimate, damping clarification, and activity-mitigation strategies.
