Assessing Liberia's Draft Carbon Development Policy

Abstract: The report analyzes how the Draft Carbon Development Policy of Liberia meets requirements for community rights and forest governance and international carbon market standards. The policy development process needs to include all stakeholders through an inclusive approach which brings together civil society, local communities, women, youth, persons with disabilitiesand NGOs and the private sector. The engagement process serves as a fundamental element which helps to build legitimacy and transparency in the policy development process.
