Assessing Dianov's "Harmonious Worldview": Demarcation, Method, and Misuse of Physics
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This paper critically evaluates Vyacheslav Dianov's Harmonious Worldview, a sixty-page essay that proposes a spiritual alternative to materialist science. While the text presents itself as a scientific framework, its claims fail to meet basic criteria of scientific inquiry. Drawing on Popper's principle of falsifiability and Kuhn's paradigm theory, I assess the work through textual analysis and a review of its frequently cited empirical references, including the "soul weight" hypothesis, torsion field theory, and Kirlian photography. The analysis demonstrates that Dianov's arguments are unfalsifiable, methodologically unsupported, and conceptually inconsistent, often conflating scientific concepts such as "energy" and "field" with metaphysical or spiritual meanings. Rather than constituting a viable scientific theory, Harmonious Worldview functions as a spiritual manifesto cloaked in scientific terminology. The critique situates this case within broader patterns of pseudoscientific discourse, in which the authority of physics is invoked rhetorically while its empirical standards are abandoned.
