Type material. Holotype, male in MWM, examined. Distribution. Peru: Piura. Material examined. Type material. Holotype, 1 ♂, Peru, Piura dept., Abra Porcuya (near Motupe), alt. 1800 m, 05°50' S 79°30' W, II.2008, ex. coll. Dr. Ronald Brechlin (GenPr-Heterocera MWM 28.642) (MWM). Taxonomic notes. The characters of the genital apparatus (see diagnosis of Psychonoctua and Schreiteriana) indicate a closer relationship to P. personalis, than to S. pectinicornis, in connection with which the species is now considered in the genus Psychonoctua Grote, 1865.
