Genetic information. This species has been assigned the BIN URI: BOLD ABZ2648. The intraspecific divergence calculated from 13 samples is in the range of 0.00–0.77%. The nominotypical subspecies of M. monofascia diverges from M. monofascia dissoluta by 1.87–2.84%. Another morphologically similar taxon is M. perfusca, diverging at 1.71–2.04%. Distribution. Confirmed records of nominotypical M. monofascia are known from the RSA, Uganda, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Kenya, DRC, Burundi (as M. septima, M. octava, M. heteromorpha, M. pseudofuscata and M. brachyvalva (Hacker et al. 2012, Hacker 2014)), Mozambique (László & Vetina 2019) and Zambia (László 2020).
