Decentralized P2P Lending Platform Using Block-chain: Design and Implementation.
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Traditional financial systems face significant limitations in transparency and accessibility, particularly in lending operations where centralized intermediaries create barriers for underserved populations. This paper presents the design and implementation of a decentralized peer-to-peer (P2P) lending platform built on blockchain technology, utilizing Solidity smart contracts deployed via Hardhat and a React-based frontend interface. The platform addresses fundamental challenges in traditional lending through automated loan requests, transparent funding mechanisms, and trustless smart contract enforcement of agreements. A key innovation lies in the implementation of a dynamic reputation system that incentivizes timely repayments and promotes trust among anonymous participants. The system demonstrates how blockchain technology can create a more equitable and efficient lending ecosystem by eliminating intermediaries, reducing operational costs, and providing global accessibility through cryptocurrency-based transactions. Evaluation results show successful implementation of core lending functionalities with enhanced transparency and reduced processing times compared to traditional lending systems.
