Young's Single-Photon Double-Slit Experiment as It Was Meant to Be

Type: article
Abstract: This work reframes Young’s single-photon double-slit experiment and quantum tunneling using a binary 0|1 gate model. A Start S launches an emission comprising a momentum-stamped Directive D and a companion Wave W. A single local 0|1 gate before T1 routes D to the target T, while unresolved components drain to T1 and vanish at the end of the run. In this view, each run is independent; the familiar interference statistics arise from detector tallying across many runs rather than from an intrinsic cross-run probability. The analysis distinguishes absorptive detectors (inline gates that leave material records) from nonabsorbing optics (unitary reshaping without records), and extends the same logic to tunneling barriers: transmission is a local 0|1 decision, and the momentum-stamped directive that passes preserves its code to T. The paper outlines operational tests (filter matching, T vs T1 modulation, angle-resolved checks after barriers) to separate detector-induced artifacts from genuinely single-run behavior.
