Educational Equity: The Role of Flipped Classrooms and Personalized Learning in Expanding Access to Higher Education
Year: 2025
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: This paper explores the role of flipped classrooms and personalized learning in promoting educational equity and expanding access to higher education. Using a mixed-methods approach with data from 300 students across urban and rural contexts, the study evaluates how these digital pedagogies enhance engagement, self-directed learning, and academic performance while addressing barriers such as inadequate infrastructure, teacher preparedness, and socio-economic inequalities. The findings highlight the potential of flipped and personalized learning to bridge the digital divide and align with India’s NEP 2020 vision of inclusive, technology-driven education. Actionable recommendations are provided for policymakers and educators to optimize hybrid learning models and ensure equitable access to quality education.
