Abstract: Platylomia strongata Lei, 1997 nomen nudum Remarks. Platylomia strongata Lei, 1997 was introduced in the book “ The Cicadidae of China (Homoptera: Cicadoidea) ” (Chou et al., 1997), merely with a name in the corrigenda and a habitus photo in the plate part, without any description or definition throughout the book. It is proposed that it represents an unavailable name and is a nomen nudum according to the Fourth Edition of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN 1999: Article 13.1).
