Efficient Data Collection From Electric Vehicles

Abstract: The aim of the project was to create an efficient data collection chain, which was then applied to an electric vehicle. There are several ways to create this workflow, either on the basis of commercial or open source solutions. For our purposes, a combination of commercial and open-source solutions was chosen based on our conditions and requirements. This is a solution of storing and processing data on an Amazon S3 server, and displaying the processed data through a Grafana dashboard. The paper describes how the device is connected to the server, how the data is processed, displayed, and shared. Finally, the system is compared to a competing solution, and an evaluation is made.
