Abstract: In the rapidly evolving landscape of global supply chains, where digital disruptions and sustainabilityimperatives converge, traditional operational frameworks often struggle to adapt. This Original ResearchArticle introduces the Product Lifecycle Management-Based Supply Chain Operations Research Model(PLMSCORModel), a novel extension of the Product Lifecycle Management based Supply ChainOperations Research (SCOR) framework, which embeds operational research (OR) techniques to enhancedecision-making in overall supply chain during the design stages of product or at the Ideation stage itselfwhich helps in overall resilience, and environmental stewardship. Building on the foundational processesof SCOR—such as Orchestrate, Plan, Order, Source, Transform, Fulfil, and Return—PLM-SCORincorporates predictive analytics, simulation modelling, and optimization algorithms to addresscontemporary challenges like supply chain volatility and ESG (environmental, social, governance)compliance by introducing all these factors at the ideation and design stage itself
