Abstract: Hemiops substriata Fleutiaux, 1903 SRI Hemiops substriata Fleutiaux, 1903: 580 (original description; published type locality: Annam). Hemiops assamensis Schwarz, 1905: 264 (original description; published type locality: Kohima, Assam); Schwarz, 1907: 305 (catalogue; India: “ Assam, Kohima”); Schenkling, 1927: 503 (catalogue; India: “ Assam ”); Gaedike, 1985: 19 (type catalogue); Schimmel, 1996a: 165 (synonymised with H. substriata). Type Locality. Hemiops substriata. Vietnam * [Annam]; Hemiops assamensis. India: Kohima District, Nagaland. Type Depository. Hemiops substriata: Type, SU (??). Hemiops assamensis: Lectotype, M (SDEI); 3 Paralectotypes (SDEI). Distribution in India. Nagaland (Kohima District). General Distribution. China, India, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam (Schenkling 1927; Schimmel 1996a; Cate 2007). Remark. The type material of H. substriata is likely housed in MNHN, but this could not be verified. The lectotype for H. assamensis was designated by G. Cuccodoro in 2019 (based on photographs of the data labels, courtesy of Kevin Weissing, SDEI, shared with us); however, we could not find any published literature confirming this designation.
