Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Amidst the chaos of war, during the political purges that began in the late 1930s, hundreds of border guards—from marching soldiers to post commanders, company leaders, detachment officers, and even heads of frontier districts—who had endured scorching heat and freezing cold in defense of their homeland’s independence and territorial integrity, were unjustly persecuted and punished.
