Abstract: This introduction to videographic scholarship takes the form of a conversation between two academics who have participated in the field since the early 2010s. The conversation is divided into three sections: a general introduction to the practice; a historiography of how the field has developed; and issues and questions that currently define videographic scholarship. The chapter is based on a conversation that took place over Zoom in June 2024, but has been edited and reshaped for publication.
