Societal Schizophrenia: The Delirium of Our Time
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: In a war-torn society under siege, a gripping narrative unfolds between Ali, a wounded soldier fighting for his life and his country's dignity, and Haifa, a wealthy woman pursuing cosmetic surgery to reclaim her fading youth. Their stories collide in a hospital where scarce medical resources become the center of a moral battle. This powerful allegory exposes the profound social schism between sacrifice and vanity, critiquing not only individual choices but also the patriarchal systems that perpetuate such crises. Through poetic and stark prose, the text explores themes of societal decay, the hypocrisy of war, and the forgotten value of true honor, offering a piercing look into the human condition during times of collective trauma.
