Abstract: The one who lives by regulating life and life cycles is considered to be the one who excels in civilization and culture. In this way, the Tamils excelled in civilization and culture long ago. This is also acknowledged by historians. The first grammar book of Tamil, Tolkappiyam, has formulated and compiled the grammar of Tamil life. Therefore, Tolkappiyam can be considered a pioneer in the knowledge of astronomy.
