Abstract: Geopolitical issues have played a key role in the Covid-19 crisis, especially in the production of a Covid-19 vaccine. Whereas the US approach has generally been "America First", China and many European countries have made bold commitments to global vaccine access. However, countries and firms have conflicting interests regarding both a vaccine's production and its distribution.
