Thermodynamics as De Broglie Physics for Particle Ensembles.
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: We demonstrate that thermodynamics emerges naturally from de Broglie relations when applied to particle ensembles. Starting from the statistical mechanics definition of entropy δS = kB(δΩ/Ω), we derive the fundamental de Broglie relation δp = hδψ,proving these frameworks are equivalent. We show that entropy is simply the energytemperature slope δS = δE/δT, providing a clear physical interpretation. This unification reveals that temperature is meaningful only for ensembles, explaining why theuniverse as a single entity has constant entropy and undefined temperature.
