PSDI Training and Guidance for the physical sciences community
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This presentation, delivered by Dr Nicola Knight at the DALIA satellite Meeting in Aachen, explores how the UK's Physical Sciences Data Infrastructure (PSDI) is supporting researchers through targeted training and guidance. While PSDI’s core mission is to connect and enhance data infrastructure, it recognises that empowering researchers with the right skills is essential for sustainable, data-driven science. The talk highlights PSDI’s growing suite of training resources; including self-paced courses, case studies, and community-led workshops, designed to address skills gaps in data management, digital tools, and FAIR practices. It also discusses the importance of community engagement and the role of training in fostering a culture of best practice across the physical sciences.
