Abstract: This thesis explores the economic essence of commodity competitiveness and the fundamental criteria that define a product’s ability to succeed in domestic and international markets. Competitiveness is not a static characteristic; it is a dynamic category that reflects both the internal properties of the commodity and the external conditions of the market. The analysis highlights key dimensions such as quality, price, innovation, brand reputation, marketing effectiveness, and adaptability to consumer demand. Special emphasis is placed on the interrelation between economic efficiency and competitiveness, as well as the relevance of these factors for emerging economies like Uzbekistan.
