Model to Determine the Degree of Affection of the Rate of Intra-family Violence and Gdp Per Capita by Department on the Number of Thefts

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This study develops a statistical model to evaluate the impact of the domestic violence rate and per capita GDP on the number of thefts reported by department in Colombia. Using the CRISP-DM methodology, data from various official sources were processed and analyzed through simple and multiple linear regression techniques. The results reveal a significant relationship between domestic violence and thefts, while the impact of per capita GDP appears more complex and indirect. This model provides valuable insights for designing public policies aimed at mitigating these criminal phenomena, highlighting the need for a comprehensive approach to the social and economic development of the most affected regions
