Abstract: ψ⁸ and the Ontology of Mystery: A Retentive Architecture Beyond Knowledge and Ignorance This article introduces mystery (M) as a dynamic variable in the ψ⁸ framework of retentive difference, providing a Lagrangian formulation, operational metrics, and applications in cryptography, cosmology, and culture. It positions mystery not as ignorance, but as a structural law of retention that persists beyond uncertainty. The submission contains two accompanying illustrative figures, reinforcing the integration of scientific formalism and artistic representation.
