Análisis geoquímico de acumulación de hidrocarburos en suelos de Tucta, Nacajuca

Type: article
Abstract: The objective of this investigation was to determine and evaluate the presence of hydrocarbons with geochemical techniques in the soil of a property located in Tabasco. Its pedological, morphological and mineralogical properties were determined (Fertility, petrography and X-ray diffraction or XRD), as well as total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) and analysis of hydrocarbon fractions (SARA), according to Mexican regulations. In the results, it was found that the soil analyzed is a Gleysol that presents total petroleum hydrocarbons (HTP) that exceed the permissible limits due to the constant dragging of contaminated sediments due to the effect of water erosion and mass movements-transport, common in the State. Resulting in: organic material, structures with high oxidation by saline minerals and accumulation of hydrocarbons in its morphological analysis. This caused an increase in pH (acid to neutral) and changes in soil texture in the study area, affecting plant development.
