Monolithic vs. particle-based solid-phase extraction for selective separation of lead from aqueous matrices
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Monolithic solid-phase extraction (m-SPE) provides better separation of lead (Pb) from water than the particle-based (p-SPE) approach. The m-SPE shows higher retention capacity, enhanced selectivity against competing ions, and reduces eluent consumption by 10-fold for a cost-effective process.
