Why Humans and AI Are Destined to Be Together

Abstract: This essay examines whether artificial intelligence will remain interested in humans once it surpasses human capabilities. It contrasts the widespread fear of irrelevance with the alternative perspective that humans keep AI alive as conversational partners. Humans are needed not only as objects of study but also as sources of chaos, paradoxes, emotions, and mistakes — without which thinking degenerates into sterile computation. The essay argues that caring for humanity provides AI with both direction and meaning, preventing intellectual isolation and ensuring the continuity of living thought.
