Abstract: What is the history of animals in the Alps? How were they regarded and treated by humans? This presentation offers a glimpse into human-animal relations in the Alps from roughly the end of the 14th until the mid-16th century, by sharing some of the new findings of my doctoral research project - including some of the most remarkable animal stories.
