Politicians: The Downfall of Their Own Delusion

Abstract: ENG This concept note analyzes the collapse of citizens’ trust and the inflation of authority in politics, which together form a structural problem in democratic governance. Using three conceptual categories — Bubble of Authority, Sedimentation of Trust, and Politics of Illusion — this note provides a theoretical starting point for further discussion and research. KOR 본 개념노트는 정치가 시민의 신뢰를 상실하고 권위와 허상에 매몰될 때 발생하는 구조적 문제를 세 가지 개념 - 권위의 거품, 신뢰의 침강, 허상의 정치로 정리한다. 정치권력이 성과보다 이미지와 체면에 의해 부풀려질 때, 권위는 불안정한 거품으로 전락하며, 시민의 신뢰는 서서히 침강하고, 정치는 현실과 단절된 허상의 세계로 빠져든다. 이 과정은 정치의 정당성을 약화시키고, 결국 정치가 공공의 이익보다 자기 보존과 착각에 머무르게 한다. 본 노트는 실증 연구가 아닌 사상적 출발점으로, 향후 학자와 정책가들이 이 개념들을 확장하여 연구와 토론을 이어가길 기대한다.
