Abstract: This paper examines compassion as a foundational virtue that transcends religious boundaries while maintaining its profound biblical roots. Drawing from Hebrew and Greek etymologies, scriptural narratives, and contemporary applications, this study demonstrates how compassion functions simultaneously as a therapeutic force for individual healing and a moral vision for societal transformation. The research synthesizes theological scholarship with practical ethics to reveal compassion's unique capacity to restore human dignity, foster reconciliation, and address systemic injustices. Through careful analysis of Jesus's compassionate ministry and its implications for modern contexts, this paper argues that authentic compassion - characterized by seeing, feeling, and acting - represents humanity's most effective response to suffering and fragmentation. The findings suggest that compassion operates not merely as emotional sympathy but as a comprehensive ethical framework that can guide individual behavior, family dynamics, community engagement, and national policy toward healing and justice.
